The Biltmore Hotel, Ideal for Miami Weddings

Are you looking for the most idyllic location in Miami for your wedding? Look no further than the Biltmore Hotel! An oasis of charm and architectural expression, the Biltmore features hand-painted frescos on barrel-vaulted ceilings, travertine floors, marble columns, leaded glass fixtures, carved mahogany furnishings, lavish gardens, and a spiraling Moorish Giralda tower. That’s only the beginning. The Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Florida is a dream in the making with its combination of South Florida landscape and Moorish architecture.

It’s also a dream venue for an idyllic indoor/outdoor Miami wedding.

Fees & Permits

Whether you are hoping for an indoor or outdoor wedding at the Biltmore Hotel, the onsite wedding team can help you make sure you have all the proper permits to make all your wedding dreams come true. Your photographer should also be able to ensure you have all the right paperwork for your big event.

How much is a dream like this one going to cost you? For a dream Miami wedding at the Biltmore Hotel, factoring in a guestlist of approximately 125 people, you’re looking at an average base cost of $47,000. That covers both the ceremony and the reception (food and beverages included). Added costs for entertainment, flowers and decorations, furniture rentals, transportation, and photography are not factored in. A bridal suite and complimentary ready room are included. Other guests are able to book rooms at a discounted rate.

There’s an added value in not having to relocate for your wedding photos, though. Not only will the Biltmore provide stunning ambiance for your wedding, transporting your entire wedding party and all of your wedding guests into a world of its own, but you’ll also be able to enjoy wedding photos that are not to be rivalled. Let’s take a look at how to get the most out of your wedding photo experience on your big day.

Top Photo Locations at the Biltmore Hotel

The Biltmore Hotel features multiple venues, including the Alhambra (which can accommodate 200 guests), the Granada (200 guests), and the Country Club Ballroom (400 guests). Each of these offers its own gorgeous backdrop, so if you are worried about making sure your reception photography stays in keeping with your magical wedding photos, then worry no more. Just make sure you arrange for your photographer to stick around for some candid reception shots of your beloved guests.

For your wedding photos, however, you are going to want to relocate to get the most of all the venue has to offer.

History

Built in 1926, the Biltmore Hotel is an icon of the Jazz age. It was built as part of the Biltmore Hotel chain, but by 1996, its rich history had set it apart as a landmark all its own. In 1996, it was designated a National Landmark for the role it played as both a hospital during WWII (the Army Air Forces Regional Hospital) and as part of the University of Miami medical school in 1968. It was restored to its hotel hospitality role in 1987. In addition to being known for its iconic and luxurious architectural style, it is famous for hosting such notable guests as the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, Al Capone, Bing Crosby, and Ginger Rodgers.

Seasons

Since it offers both indoor and outdoor accommodations, the Biltmore Hotel is great year-round, from summer through spring—but summer might suit the Mediterranean style of the venue best.

Time of Day

Sunrise or sunset can make a unique backdrop to Miami wedding photos under the Biltmore’s idyllic Mediterranean columns, but the venue also offers a unique opportunity for a wedding under the stars.

Attire

The indoor/outdoor venue can accommodate most styles—but stick to wedges if you are taking your wedding photos to the lawns.
